I learned that emotions are a big part of our personality and what we like and dislike. Emotions can help make tough decisions for the future. Fear can help a child be safe and careful. Anger isn't really helpful, but it is helpful for the caretaker to know how to calm the toddler down before he/she has a fit. Sadness help with showing that the toddler cares if your sad or it's part of the fit and the caregiver helps calm them down. Joy helps by having the child in a good happy mood, a child is normally gets happy by doing something fun that he/she likes.
